PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VIRGINIA |
| On a cold winter day in January 1941, I was born in a log cabin on my daddy's farm at Blairs in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. From that day until August 1996, my only time to live outside of that county was the four years I served in the U. S. Air Force.1 Both of my parents' families have been there for generations. So it's not unusual that I have a great love for Pittsylvania County, Virginia: its people, its land and its history. |
